Bounce ideas around

 

Sometimes you just need someone to bounce some ideas around with, or just to pick their brains. After an initial call we can arrange a half-day, or a full day to work together.

 

A few days a month

 

You might want me to look at a specific area of work and advise on the best approach for your team to take. This usually involves getting immersed into projects with teams, understanding the objectives, and coaching teams - helping them achieve the goal. Time could be spent facilitating hackdays to generate new ideas and approaches. Perhaps you need someone to create technical job specs, interview candidates, and recommend the right candidate?

 

A longer-term arrangement

 

I love working on longer projects. These often involve bringing teams together to work out the best approaches. It could involve finding the value in the data you have, bringing it into a central location, implementing new ways to carry out reporting, pitching ideas at board-level, coaching teams to perform well, using Data Science (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning) to give you competitive advantage, improving the data culture around the business to help people “get” why data is so important, and lots more.

    • Finding the value in the data clients hold and spotting opportunities to use it differently

    • Hackdays and idea generation sessions

    • Advising and helping to facilitate longer-term strategies to generate new revenue streams and efficiency savings

    • Translating complex problems and solutions back to stakeholders in an easy to understand format

    • Feedback on current processes and where improvements can be made

    • Identifying the roles needed for success

    • Interviewing and hiring data teams for clients

    • Advising and coaching managers to create motivated teams
