- To keep the site secure and working. The legal basis is legitimate interests.
I won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you've asked me to.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted providers to run this site and my business:
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Cloudflare provides domain, network and security services.
- Resend delivers contact form messages to my inbox.
- SimplyMeet runs the booking calendar (simplymeet.me) and may set its own cookies when you open it.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the UK–US data bridge, or equivalent safeguards. I'll also share information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for six years after our work ends, to meet UK tax and legal requirements.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data I hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data, or restrict how I use it.
- Stop using your data where I rely on legitimate interests.
- Send your data to you or another organisation in a portable format.
Email mark@datadives.co.uk and I'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
